travails of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim alive. Taken from the original script, actor Michael Muldoon, plays Charles Dickens and told the well-loved story in the beautifully decorated double parlors of Bartow-Pell Mansion meeting the different spirits and characters. A newspaper wrote of Dickens at the time, “He gave to every character a different voice, a different style, a different face.” We have endeavored to bring this spirit our adaptation in an historic period setting. Performances will be Christmas Week, December 2021.

Performances will Christmas week, December 26 through December 30 at 2:00 pm and is approximately 60 minutes without an intermission and is appropriate for ages 8 and up. COVID-19 VISITOR REQUIREMENTS:

The performance of Mr. Dickens Tells a Christmas Carol will take place in the double parlors of the mansion. Bartow-Pell is mandated to follow the Key to NYC policy and requires people 12 and older show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized by the FDA or WHO together with a photo ID. Masks will be required of all audience members, regardless of vaccination status.
