Cast & Crew
Tal Aviezer (Producer/Sherlock Holmes) is the Artistic Director of Red Monkey Theater Group (RMTG). He appears regularly as Sherlock Holmes in an ongoing series of original stage adaptations of classic stories at Lyndhurst mansion and Bartow-Pell Mansion-Museum. Other RMTG/M&M Credits: The Seagull, Hamlet; RMTG: Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Julius Caesar, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, many others. Other favorite NYC & regional credits: I Hate Hamlet (M&M Performing Arts at Lyndhurst), Lone Star (Irish Arts Center), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Elephant Man, The Tempest (Piper Theatre Productions), Macbeth (Fleetwood Stage), Big Time (Fleetwood Stage). He has also worked as a voice actor and voice director for video games and for numerous local and national radio stations. Training: National Theater Institute, Royal Shakespeare Company. Tal is a writer for the Wildlife Conservation Society.

Amy Frey (Irene Adler) is an occupational therapist and an alumna of Columbia University, Muhlenberg College, The Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT) and the Accademia Dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy. Previous acting roles include Hamlet (Hamlet), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet) and Midsummer…Dream (Helena) with EMIT Theatre, Twelfth Night (Viola), The Seagull (Masha), Neverwhere (Jessica/Lamia), Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem (Moran), and The Adventure of the Copper Beeches (Violet Hunter) with Red Monkey Theatre, I Hate Hamlet (Deirdre McDavey) with M&M Theater, Ladies in Waiting: The Judgement of Henry VIII, (Anne Boleyn), meg jo beth amy & louisa (Jo March) with Tier 5, A Man of No Importance (Lily) with Bookworm Theatrics, and Nancy (Nancy) with Punch Drunk Theatre at Sleep No More. 

Elizabeth Mialaret (Mrs. Hudson) is very pleased to be making a brief appearance as Mrs. Hudson in this much appreciated Sherlock Homes series.  She has also appeared at Lyndhurst as Violet Bradman in Blithe Spirits, as Lillian Troy in I Hate Hamlet, and in their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (alas, cut short by COVID).  She played various roles in Red Monkey’s production of Rhinoceros, and Neverwhere, as well as Kent in King Lear, Gertrude in Hamlet, and the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet.  Elsewhere she has appeared as Queen Alonza in The Tempest, Katherine Brandt in 33 Variations, Sister Aloysius in Doubt, Ouiser in Steel Magnolias, Mrs. Birling in An Inspector Calls, Rose in Enchanted April, Ethel in Moon Over Buffalo, and Helga in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.  Elizabeth has a broad background in theatre ranging from musical theatre to the classics, costuming, make-up design, puppetry, voice over work, and dialect coaching.

 Michael Muldoon (Producer/Dr. John Watson) has appeared in several Sherlock Holmes adventures at Lyndhurst Mansion and at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum as Dr. John Watson.  In addition, he has embodied the role of Mr. Dickens in Mr. Dickens Tells A Christmas Carol over the past eight holiday seasons.  Directing credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) Boeing Boeing, It Could be Any One of Us, Show People,Mistletoe and Menorahs,  God of Carnage, Dream Lovers, Dinner With Friends, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Actor’s Nightmare and Sorry, Wrong Number For M&M, Michael has appeared in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, I Hate Hamlet, Hamlet, Travels with My Aunt, The Understudy, Barrymore, The 39 Steps and The Mousetrap.  Michael has been seen on stage at numerous regional theaters throughout the country as well as in NYC at The Living Theater and Theater for the New City.  On TV, he has been seen in One Life to Live, All My Children, As the World Turns, Saturday Night Live and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (recurring). This past spring, the feature film The Haymaker included Michael in the role of the ring announcer.

Melinda O’Brien (Producer/Director) is a founder of M&M Performing Arts Company. She directed The 39 Steps, Travels with My Aunt, Barrymore, I Hate Hamlet, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and The Mousetrap for M&M in the Grand Picture Gallery of Lyndhurst. She also directed the Red Monkey Theater Group/M&M co-productions of Sherlock Holmes adventures: The Blue Carbuncle, The Speckled Band and The Dying Detective at Lyndhurst and The Musgrave Ritual and The Dancing Men at Bartow-Pell Mansion. Some favorite acting credits include: Hamlet, God of Carnage, Agnes of God, Dancing at Lughnasa, Lost in Yonkers, The Importance of Being Earnest, An Ideal Husband, Dinner with Friends, Crimes of the Heart, Blithe Spirit and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Quint Spitzer (Producer/King of Bohemia) is a graduate of Fordham University and the National Shakespeare Conservatory. An actor since the early 80s he has appeared in over 40 productions including such roles as Caliban in The Tempest, Orsino in Twelfth Night, Nick in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Lord Montague in Romeo & Juliet and The Player in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. These days Quint is most often wearing the hat of producer on the local theatre and music scene for such companies as MRM Productions, The Red Monkey Theater Group, M&M Performing Arts and Theatre 5 Productions.

Theatre 5 Productions (T5P) was founded in 1992 by producer Quint Spitzer and actor Elizabeth Mialaret in New York City, mounting such productions as Soul in Your Stocking, Echoes of Etta, The Lady’s Not for Burning, Italian American Reconciliation and Othello to name a few. In addition to its own presentations, T5P also serves the local theatrical community as a complete entertainment consulting organization encompassing all aspects of theatre, music, art, design, technology, production management and fundraising.

Emmy Schwartz and Nan Weiss (Stage Managers) have been stage managing for many years.  They can’t mask their delight in being able to show their faces once again at Bartow Pell mansion for another wonderful Sherlock Holmes adventure.

Rachel Tamarin (Sound Designer) is thrilled to be collaborating with Red Monkey Theater Group and M&M Performing Arts Company once again on this production! With Red Monkey Theater Group, she has previously directed/sound designed Hedda GablerWater by the SpoonfulStop KissDead Man’s Cell Phone, and Boise, Idaho. You may also recognize her from recent onstage appearances as merry murderesses Rachel Howells in Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual with RMTG/M&M  at Bartow-Pell Mansion and Stella in The Good Cop at The Davenport Theatre. Recent stage management credits include RMTG’s productions of Twelfth NightRhinocerosHamlet (with M&M ), and Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. Other sound design credits include: Twelfth NightThe Seagull, and Macbeth (RMTG).
